Give Up Tomorrow: Life's A Nightmare Without Sleeping

On the night of the murders, Paco LarraƱaga was over 300 miles away, with about 40 friends. They have photographs.

He got a life sentence.

After his accusers channeled the dead in court, arguing for a harsher sentence, LarraƱaga got the death penalty.

"We're not the same, we'll never be the same."

I've been saying that a lot, myself,....

This Photo's Surely From Someone As Patriotic As I Am

Despite what some think, once taken seriously, race arguments are compelling:
"Superstitions about black animals can be deadly."
I mean, it rarely gets mentioned, but I will tell you from experience:

It sucks to be the 13th floor on the elevator of your country's life,...

 ADDED:
Relying on a complex statistical analysis presented at trial, Judge Scheindlin found that the racial composition of a census tract played a role in predicting how many stops would occur.
She emphasized what she called the “human toll of unconstitutional stops,” noting that some of the plaintiffs testified that their encounters with the police left them feeling that they did not belong in certain areas of the cities. She characterized each stop as “a demeaning and humiliating experience.”
“No one should live in fear of being stopped whenever he leaves his home to go about the activities of daily life,” the judge wrote. During police stops, she found, blacks and Hispanics “were more likely to be subjected to the use of force than whites, despite the fact that whites are more likely to be found with weapons or contraband.”
Let's see, there's a "human toll" on minorities that's been "demeaning and humiliating" - and included "fear" and "force" - while law enforcement officers let whites with "weapons or contraband" go free.

Yes, after Rodney King, I can clearly see why so many Americans say Jim Crow's over and enough's been done,...

I've Had Enough Education To Say It's Coming Together

I hear America's got more hotshot fucking lawyers than anywhere else in the world, and yet nobody could stop some bullshit built on this:
"When I told you that I’d taken the title from Don Rogers, you immediately said, ‘Let’s Sell These People a Piece of Blue Sky’ — Hubbard’s comment to Rogers about fleecing newcomers,..in 1950."

You want me to believe Bernie Madoff was a fluke when that's 63 years an obvious con has openly operated? Hell, even out of work lawyers should have a little time they could devote to that.

Doctors find time for things.

It's becoming hard not to entertain that I may not live in the country I thought I did.

Or even the world.

I thought people were rational.

But at 52, I'm being talked out of it, and in a most humiliating fashion,...

I Stopped Voting. Now It Must Be Time For Me To Leave The Republicans. They Don't Want Me. I Don't Like Them

America can be so disgusting, it's no wonder many conservatives are scared to be called racists:
"In 2009, I wrote about Judge Mark A. Ciavarella, one of two Pennsylvania judges who was paid bribes by a private prison contractor to send black children to prison and keep the for-profit prisons full. Ciavarella, who once sent an African-American child to jail for three months for posting negative comments about her assistant principal on MySpace, has been sentenced to 28 years in prison. He was convicted of racketeering, and has been stripped of his state pension."
Gee, I figure white kids go to jail for MySpace postings all-the-time - specifically to fill the prisons, right? But don't let a single black person in this country ever declare his home has it out for him, or he'll be shouted down by a self-righteous mob of white citizens, all insisting there's never anything unique about living with them. It's all in our minds. Like the Trayvon people.

This is really starting to make my skin crawl. I know:

I'd better get used to it because - with these conservative cowards - I'm on my own,...
