Here's a great story about a black guy who - as long as nobody knows him or his views - is now financially stable overnight:

Honesty really paid off for a homeless man in Boston who turned in a backpack worth nearly $42,000 earlier this week. Since his good deed, an online fundraiser had raised more than $92,000 for Glen James by early Thursday, and brought in offers from strangers who want to help the Good Samaritan by donating computers and offering health care services to him.

Strangers. That's the key.

They're even providing financial services.

Now if, just the day before, you had told any black person there's $92,000 waiting to raise them individually out of poverty - for doing what any honest person would do - nobody would've believed it. Because that's not the impression we want to give, is it? Of course not. Figments of the American imagination are laudable, real flesh-and-blood people? They can go to Hell.

I always ask, how do politicians raise multi-millions of dollars so quickly, when people are sleeping right outside our doors? Are those homeless honest? Are the politicians? (HA!) Do those homeless have to find a good deed to do for help? Why doesn't someone arrange a Candid Camera set-up and reward the honest folks?

I'd be rich!

And what are people paying Ann Althouse (who makes $177,000 a year at her job) and Glenn Reynolds for? Oh yeah - to alert them to Amazon's deals on dining room sets and give bad political advice.

That's how we raise the country up, and bring those outside the conservative tent in, correct?

Needless to say, there's enough of that going around already:

Why's There A Gay Parade - But Never A Black One?

 

Catchy title, huh? Yeah. I was going to try something with those two terms of endearment - Race Hustler and Victim Schtick - but gays, always saying we're the same, bother me. Where's the black fucking parade?

Never heard a white person ask that. Humph.

So, the fear is, the movie 12 Years A Slave might cause problems. I don't know why. 

It's just the kind of story black households live with, as personal history, and discuss - can the rest of the country deal? 

I don't know. 

I wonder if whites understand there are entire black families still licking their wounds - or do they think we wake up each morning thinking this is a wonderful land of opportunity and we better go get it? I don't know. 

If they're not denying slavery happened fairly recently in the life of blacks, then some whites are trying to deny it's had any affect on blacks as a people - like a family intimately understanding rape and other horrible crimes, along with toiling for free for centuries, can't do that. 

If some whites can't sell that idea, they just don't like you. 

Whites will listen to complete idiots before they contemplate someone else might have a clue. Sorry, folks, I've seen it and lived it. Considering how many idiot whites there are, that's a long-assed line I've had to wait in and, usually, it's too long to get to me today. Well, at least I had the "opportunity," right? Is that how it works? Oh joy. 

Right now, some whites like to rail about black-on-black crime, but are they going to consider that partial fall-out from white slave owners forcing blacks to "punish" each other? I don't know that either. They do love them some black-on-black crime, though. They never talk about white-on-white crime - which is the majority of crime, just based on volume. Maybe that's because white-on-white crime is just "crime". Isn't that strange? 

There's a lot I don't know because, with some whites, there's no way to imagine they share the same country. I'm expected to be open and honest, but they can't even acknowledge outnumbering me, and doing so by such a wide margin I can be driven mad by hearing the same lame racial jokes, the same lame racial arguments, and the same lame denials of every word I say, over and over and over again. Usually in a single day, online. "Thinking outside the box" is just a phrase to these people. They have no intention of trying it.

And there's nothing I can do about it - they hold all the cards. All they have to do is not to like what I'm saying, agree on that, and I'm done - right or wrong don't matter. Do they understand that? I don't know. They've rarely backed me up when I'm right (ask Ann You're-all-losers Althouse or Glenn I-like-quackery Reynolds) but demand friendship I rarely feel.  Not sure how that's supposed to work.

Did you know most of my donations come from people I rarely talk to? The ones I do, they don't have time - too busy writing "the narrative" of my life to be bothered with the real thing.

I can be affected by how white people are so concerned by white's opinions to the exclusion of everyone else's. Do they consider that? I don't know. I doubt most whites have been in that situation very often. Where blacks, as a group, can simply ignore them.

What do you guys think Dave Chappelle has been grappling with - why he had to pass on $50 million and run to Africa? (Wasn't he your buddy, playing a blind Klansman shouting "Nigger!") Do you think he was wondering how great being in this situation is - even with money? Are YOU in a "situation" just by waking up today? Are YOU writing a racial post for understanding? Nope. You're sitting there deciding.

I've got a white guy caring for me now - he's manic/depressive and barks "Nigger!" several times a day. Are you relying on such help? Could you handle a black guy in your house yelling "Cracker!" or "Honky!" uncontrollably? I bet you couldn't. Nor would you, and never will have to - but we're all the same, started from the same place, "living the dream," with the same chances in life, right? Please stop the bullshit.

I'm asking you for donations - without compromising my integrity or that of the blog - not the other way around, assholes. 

That's because I was born into a situation - you guys were just born - and it's simply not the same.

Donations? What Have You Done With Them Already?

You know, if Andrew Breitbart were alive, I have a sneaking feeling he'd be a bit more nuanced about this headline on his site:

This is just a conservative bashing of the poor at it's worst.

I mean, Breitbart was smart - he could understand owning an empty fridge, right? Am I supposed to sell it? Then what? Who would buy my TV? I looked - people give them away now. Put them on the front lawn with a sign saying "FREE" attached to them. A VCR? Come on. I borrow CDs and DVDs from the library. And I use the cheapest cell phone I can get (above an ObamaPhone) but - according to these genius' - I'm rich in America.

Talk about rubbing it in. It's bad enough I've tried to do all the right things, but then to have this laid on me, just as all my latest efforts crumbled? Well, that stings a little. So, let's pull back the curtain a bit, and see how this whole pull-yourself-up-by-your-boot-straps thing works in reality:

I started off divorced, paying off debts. For the last few years, after NewAge management chased me out of corporate work, I've been employed as a laborer. Landscaping, working on houses, putting up steel buildings, erecting fences, digging ditches - you name it. And, occasionally, I'd get some help from the blog. Not much, anywhere from $5 to $25 usually, but sometimes a few thousand dollars. So what's it done for me lately? A lot:

I moved from this tiny room in a house - where I was living out of a suitcase, for years, with the few things I brought with me - into this bigger one below with all my recording equipment and things:

Well, how did I get all my recording equipment and things? I had to rent a U-Haul and go to several places, across the country, and get them (long story). Keep in mind, except for the time it took for the road trip, I never stopped doing labor. But, then, tragedy struck.

My landlord, an older white gentleman, had an accident and lost his mind - literally. We lived together so, all of a sudden, I became responsible for a lot of new things, because his family lives far away and his other renter (a creep who I despised) moved out immediately. (Did I have to move, too?) I am still (partially) responsible for my landlord's care, taking him out to escape the long-term care facility he's in, making sure his needs are cared for and he's comfortable. He's my friend. I'm fine with it, and enjoy doing it, but it's still been a burden. Financial and otherwise.

So, of course, I eventually got an ulcer, followed by my lower back getting hurt. Then, one night while I was sleeping, my neck "popped". As I recently mentioned, without health insurance, my first prescription was for $800.00 and it was one of three. More followed, including lots that made me comatose, so I'd lie still and not re-injure my spine, which has happened a few times in the last 8 weeks.

And yes, I do still have a *brilliant* album I'm working on, and - along with getting my recording equipment - three things have been purchased to make that happen. Two turntables (one normal, for my records, and one digital) and a small sampler. Thank you.

And now - the latest development - I've had a manic/depressive friend/helper here, to yelp at the moon, drive me crazy by never shutting up, and (I'm grateful) making sure I can care for myself.

But according to the guys at Breitbart.com, I'm rich, because the swamp cooler works.

Worshiping At The Alters Of Our Greatest White Falters

Yep, I am back to whip everybody, while still asking for donations - you know why?

Because, while my back is broke, my balls are still that big:

American families are becoming increasingly polarized along race, class and educational lines, according to a new report released Wednesday, a sign of growing economic inequality that was exacerbated by the Great Recession. 

The report, “Divergent Paths of American Families,” found a widening gap in recent years between families that are white, educated or economically secure and minority families, those headed by someone with a high school degree or less, and poor families.

Sigh. "Polarized" again. But I hear you:

Whites in America have historically outnumbered everyone else, by so much, that white crime has been just "crime" committed by a "man" or a "woman" - no more colorful description necessary.

But those days are long gone - since something happened somewhere, to someone, last night:

Guess what COLOR the perps were?!?

I read something like that - exclusively on conservative sites - multiple times a day. And, as a conservative, it gets tiring. Not because blacks commit so many crimes, but because I know the Right-Wing idiots aren't looking for anybody else committing crimes, as they hide behind the claim of being colorblind.

A 67-year-old has been jailed for 35 years after raping his son's prom date when she stayed at their home after the dance. 

Ismael Cruz, was found guilty by a jury last month of attacking the 19-year-old girl as she slept at his San Antonio home in May 2012. 

The teenager told police she awoke to find she had been partially undressed and that Cruz was on top of her.

Hey - here's an idea:

White conservatives ought to wave that story around like a flag, to get some racial hysteria going, as we supposedly are trying to recruit hispanics, huh? We NEED as much racial hysteria as we can get for it. To make 'em feel at home. And to make whites feel comfortable, too. Hell:

   

As a white friend reminded me last night, until we awful, awful blacks started acting out, that's almost been the only world anybody's ever known. Somehow, white conservatives - the good guys in their own eyes - conveniently forget that online.

And, something tells me, many will until we're all fucked.
