Ted Turner should be the first man to set an example and - after he castrates himself - get out of our face.

No, Bozo, you ARE an idiot,
and YOU succeeded in derailing your campaign.

QUOTE:

"While we’ve been focusing lately on major crises gripping the top echelons of the Church of Scientology, it’s useful to remember there are still quite a few folks out there in far-flung locations, doing what they can to “clear the planet” — spread the word about Scientology so it can take over the world.

And what better way to do that than with ads placed on Craigslist?"

The conservative base is in a like-to-lose mode, leaving the rest of us waiting in the wilderness, for a mad man to implode.

Girls Getting Special Treatment, Defending Against Gay Attacks, Whites Assaulting Blacks - Nope, It's The Same

What's un-fucking-believable about this is, there's not a single word about booting those responsible, changing anything for the better, or punishing anybody for not caring enough to stop dragging their heels on the job:

I don't know why they expect different:

I Don't Have A Life So You Don't Have To: I'll Take Yours

Leave it to The Onion to address one of my main beefs with the world - the idea I live, literally and figuratively, with intellectual cowards. I thought I'd get online and meet all these stimulating minds, but what's here? Ann Althouse and her public nervous breakdowns - but no apologies - when challenged? Glenn Reynolds and his insistence on quackery, and let's-try-to-walk-the-line, race-based tomfoolery? Other famous feminists? Other famous libertarians? (Does anybody even care libertarians don't win elections?) NewAgers? Anybody, who can't stand the idea of society nailing down anything, but Jesus to a cross? They're all in this piece:

Courage requires us to remain steadfast in our beliefs. It asks that we stand by the convictions we express and never give an inch, no matter what the cost. However off base, wrongheaded, or patently false a position we’ve staked out may be, courage nonetheless demands that we blindly pound home our stupid fucking point, never letting up.

True valor is the moment in a conversation when you realize that what you’re saying is completely and utterly wrong, but you continue to say it over and over again anyway, only louder.

Suppose you’re discussing current events with a group of friends, one of whom politely challenges an assertion you’ve made about a particular issue. In such congenial gatherings, it can be tempting to back down, especially when someone has just put forth evidence that soundly debunks everything you’ve been saying. The courageous path takes more discipline. It means looking that friend in the eye and—though you know full well that you are totally wrong—saying, “No, I’m right.”

The same dilemma applies when you’re arguing with someone who obviously has far more information about a subject than you do. Basically, you have two choices: You can admit that you are out of your depth and that your lack of knowledge led you to the incorrect conclusion. Or you can dig in your heels, grit your teeth, and defend your misguided, uninformed opinion with every fiber of your being—even to the point of hysteria.

What is the measure of bravery? I think part of it has to do with how firmly we stand our ground when we have absolutely no fucking clue what we’re talking about.

Like sand through the hourglass, these are the days of their lives:

And, considering the weight these fools bring to bear on those below them, we should reconsider the worth of that whole stockade-in-the-public-square thing.

College campuses are perfect,...

I Need Donations (But Spreading This Around Will Help)

Cool - about 9 months ago someone on Reddit got the word out about TED - finally:

The TED name is being dragged through the mud in Valencia, Spain, where a TEDx-approved event is promoting pseudoscientific stuff like (and I quote): crystal therapy, Egyptian psychoaromatherapy, healing through the Earth, homeopathy and even "basic mind control".

I'm not really sure how this event got approved by the TED headquarters, but almost every respected scientific journalist in Spain is outraged by it.

Some of the speakers (Google-translated for non-Spanish speakers).

Amma - Mahatma (Great Soul) of Hugs, Lots of Politicians go to Her to Receive Her Blessings.

José Rius - Reiki Master, Master Reconnection, Basic Mind Control, Zen and Crystal Theraphy Specialist.

Aura Küpper - Energetic Healing through Earth, Rebirthing Therapy, Angelic Reiki and author of a book called "Doctors from Heaven".

Adoracion Ferreres - Master in Clinical Psychology and Natural Therapies. Technical Expert in Bio-Energetic and Holistic, Egyptian Psycho-Aromatherapy and Transpersonal Homeotherapy.

The whole event is "women-oriented" and marketed as a female empowerment gig, which to me adds insult to the injury, as if women were incapable to distinguish true science from utter superstitious, anti-scientific bullshit.

Seeing the TED name associated with this freak show in a country where science and education have already been cornered and budget-cut by its own government is extremely sad. TED should react and examine its own standards in order to avoid being ashamed by these hordes of rain-makers and mystic scam artists in the future.

Ask and you will receive - today I found this hysterical screed from Natural News' freakazoid ringleader, Mike Adams:

Allow me to be the first to announce that TED is dead. Why? Because the group that organizes so-called "TED talks" has been thoroughly hijacked by corporate junk science and now openly rejects any talks about GMOs, food as medicine, or even the subject of how food can help prevent behavioral disorders in children. All these areas of discussion are now red-flagged from being presented on any TED stage.

This is openly admitted by TEDx itself in a little-known letter publicly published on December 7, 2012.

In that letter, TED says that people who talk about GMOs are engaged in "pseudoscience." Those who discuss the healing potential of foods are spreading "health hoaxes."

The letter also advises TEDx organizers to, "reject bad science, pseudoscience and health hoaxes," meaning anyone who talks about GMOs, "food as medicine" or similar topics.

And, sure enough, here's the letter from TED, and a list of some of the banned topics - all of which are TMR favorites:

"Healing," including reiki, energy fields, alternative health and placebos, crystals, pyramid power

"Free energy" and perpetual motion machines, alchemy, time travel

The neuroscience of [fill in the blank] — not saying this will all be non-legitimate, but that it’s a field where a lot of goofballs are right now

The fusion of science and spirituality. Be especially careful of anyone trying to prove the validity of their religious beliefs and practices by using science.

That wording, alone, says this was a major "win" for common sense. And that means it was a good day. After all these years, a finger's been put in the dyke, somewhere where it matters:

Amongst the real barbarians - those who've encouraged it and/or let the nonsense go on.

So yeah, right now, you guys can't see me but - whether I need money or not - I'm smiling,...

A woman wrote critically of Whole Foods? Do tell:

I skip this aisle because I'm not rich enough to have dietary restrictions. Ever notice that you don't meet poor people with special diet needs? A gluten intolerant house cleaner? A cab driver with Candida? Candida is what I call a rich, white person problem. You know you've really made it in this world when you get Candida. My personal theory is that Candida is something you get from too much hot yoga. All I'm saying is if I were a yeast, I would want to live in your yoga pants."

Well that's one theory (Ewww!),...

Peoples Dying In The Ghetto And Peoples Dying Outside The Ghetto: My Life Will Never Escape The Reasons Why

I'll find a story of mass murder, one day, that doesn't include an American doing something like this - and that's when I'll know it might be over:

Wow. That's some "contradiction." And a real anomaly.  Or is it? As I've pointed out before, if someone accepts the belief that "life is about suffering," then it's not much of a leap to cause some.

And nowadays, you have to admit, that whole "life is about suffering" schtick is really popular:
"If you're trying to decipher Loughner's worldview,...The best label would probably be 'New Age paranoia.'"

Oops, John Lennon - that was another guy to start killing everybody after dabbling in NewAge - here's the new guy:
"U.S. law enforcement officials are telling The Associated Press that the Navy contractor identified as the gunman in the mass shootings at the Washington Navy Yard had been suffering a host of serious mental issues, including paranoia and a sleep disorder. He also had been hearing voices in his head, the officials said."

Well - that could've also described my wife, too, asshole! Weird, because everyone defended those symptoms - as a feminist thinking "straight" - when she had them. Not that anyone cares about what happened to my wife and life:

Let's just make this thing blow over, as always, so we can get back to cheering what a overwhelmingly positive influence J. D. Salinger had on society,...

This Is The Blackest Post I've Ever Done (In Every Way)

I'm RANTING:

So, Glenn Reynolds has posted the Washington shooter's photo because,..."narrative".

Also, Glenn's influential, don't you know. A positive or negative influence, nobody says. Seen any blacks on his site?

Oh yeah - there's that one. I bet he's the only one today - or yesterday - before he gunned anyone down.

That's what it takes for blacks to regularly get on Instapundit.

No? I challenge you, Reynolds - anybody - to show me, after all these years, where Glenn Reynolds let a black guest blog while he was gone.

He lets Althouse and she voted for Obama and is a feminist - part of the problem - and two things Reynolds blogs against.

Ethics?

But there's nothing racist going on - those two Boomer champions are just showing us how the new world they created "works".

You see, Glenn put this guy on the blog because the other outlets are describing him as a "Texan," and Glenn thinks we should be more focussed on something else. I wonder what it could be?

I'm looking.

This photo, above, startled Ann Althouse - who thinks black "bellyaching" music (like Marvin Gaye) is below her - I don't still know why. She probably can't dance, either.

From what I hear, certain folks being seen on the runway will do that to some people.

What do you see?

The shooter's definitely better looking than Reynolds (or Ann) but I doubt that's it. Could it be that this maniac isn't white - like almost all the others in American history? I doubt that, too, because A) Glenn never mentioned it, and B) that would be a reason for cheering - a civil rights triumph! We're getting EQUAL, guys! Hooray!

No, as much as Instapundit's Grand Dragon wants to stir the race issue some more, the real "narrative" here is how much Americans are learning to hate each other. How certain groups and individuals are allowed to run roughshod over others, without recourse, and whatever happens "happens" afterwards. That's all. Don't put that look on your face, that says you have no idea how these things happen, because we know good and well how these things happen.

The neglect of society.

I had to turn the radio off in my car today, because I couldn't stand to listen to two feminists talk about "where feminism went wrong" and then go on talking about advancing it, like they weren't also discussing everyone's life that was being destroyed under it's weight. I turned the radio off because there was no need to change the channel - there was only going to be more malarky there. And all of it crushing someone. And all of that being insisted on.

Considering the scale of the operation, and how long it's been going on, they make the so-called "race hustlers" look puny.

Sorry.

This is life, seen from the bottom, in a morally bankrupt society.

NOT the society blacks marched to join.

How many more years of lectures must I endure? On race, or that all-important climate change? As many as there'll be, because no one's going to stop it. Only someone with a gun can possibly make a dent in it - because we live in a morally bankrupt society. Hell, if Al Gore gets killed, the shooter will be the good guy! How's that for hippies flipping America's moral narrative upside down? Unfortunately, the headlines won't read "MASSIVE SCAM ARTIST MURDERED" but some nonsense about serving alongside the perv with a cigar fetish.

They're the nation's heroes.

That's who we are now - a nation of liars. Nobody's ever going to get hurt in that scenario, right? Matthew Shepard = MLK. Ask Ann Althouse. She's got a gay son and that's all the reason needed to push lies on everyone else. Never to stop it. Her son wants to get "married". Ann's on her "second" fresh dick, so I can see the appeal to her kid.

Anyway, when I saw this shooter, I laughed. I laughed because, it's been so long since I've heard a white person say something good about blacks, I was glad whites would have a new punching bag to enjoy. Amuse yourselves.

It's cheap fun.

Glenn Reynolds will be pleased - and will probably offer blog advice, like Laughing Yoga, on how to continue to make it all go down smoothly for everyone else.

It sure beats ever making blacks feel at home,...
